WELCOME AGAIN!

A WELCOME MESSAGE

FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

“…The Casco School was established to provide high-quality education to the neighbourhood of Casco Viejo and beyond. We currently offer day-care, preschool and lower elementary as well as a summer program Camp Casco for children aged 1 to 9. Our vision is to grow into a full school from preschool through to the end of secondary education. Our school is united by one philosophy – we are ambitious for our students, our people and our community. We believe we can bring our whole neighbourhood together through education to architect a community that transcend the ordinary.

We aim to inspire our students to learn, explore and soar! Developing them into confident, creative and balanced global citizens who face challenges with determination, eagerness and excitement. We offer an unparalleled standard of personalised education with opportunities for students to explore their creative side and to learn from the very best international teachers in small groups. It is important to recognise that each child is unique and be able to adapt to their needs.”

We are ambitious for our students, our people and our community. We believe we can bring our whole neighbourhood together through education to architect a community that transcends the ordinary.

VISION

We envision to be a school where…
Children are valued for their meaningful and creative efforts and accomplishments.
Staff are valued for their passion, knowledge, and commitment.
Children’s learning and growth are seen as intertwined.
The staff creates places and spaces to wonder, explore, and soar.
Children’s learning is found in their work through play.
Staff delights in being with children and sharing in their joys.
Parents are valued as their child’s first advocate.
Together, we appreciate the child’s ability to learn and thrive.
Parents receive support in their child-rearing roles.
Together, we realize we are always learning.
Neighbours come together through education to benefit all members of our community

OBJECTIVES

• To provide a warm, nurturing environment that encourages the potential for the development of the “whole child”.
• To provide an environment with developmentally appropriate materials, encouraging all children to develop a positive sense of self.
• To offer an environment that encourages your child to develop his or her capabilities and interests allowing them to succeed at school both socially and academically.
• To inspire a sense of community at an early age by introducing them to the concept of helping others around our neighbourhood.
• To expose the children to the world outside their own backdoor.
• To help others and share our gifts and talents generously.
• To promote the importance of taking care of our planet by learning about what a wonderful world we live in.

PHILOSOPHY

The Casco School seeks to purposely build an environment that reflects and honours each child’s sense of self. We offer a bilingual program where children are supported in both English and Spanish. We respect that each child has a different timetable for learning. This coupled with nurturing relationships and inspiring curriculum allows children to feel valued and empowered. We believe children are eager, capable players who learn with zest in stimulating and affirming environments. We aspire to be a fully integrated school which positively impacts our neighbourhood and the local community.

“Together we will embrace a neighborhood where children are allowed to be independent thinkers; capable of influencing the WORLD in which they live.”

The Partnership…

Sharing their passion for education and desire to make a real difference to children’s lives in Panama, Clare and Maru formed a partnership to build upon the success of the Casco Playgroup. This led to the development of The Casco School and strive to become a centre of excellence in Early Years and Primary Education.

We bring with us a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of child development. We are excited to present our trusted method of preschool and primary teaching. Our program is solid and secure. We hope to inspire our early learners and make a lifelong difference in the lives of children and their families.
