THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
The Casco School adheres to the student age placement regulations established by the Ministry of Education (MEDUCA). Enrollment Age Requirements:
- Pre Nursery: Students must be 2 years old before September 1st
- Nursery: Students must be 3 years old before September 1st
- Reception: Students must be 4 years old before September 1st
- Year 1: Students must be 5 years old before September 1st
Placement for Students Transitioning from Local School Calendar to International Calendar:
If transferring from a school with a calendar running from March to December to The Casco School, the placement of enrollment will be as follow:
- When enrolling in January, students will be placed in the grade they have completed in December
- When enrolling in August, students will join the grade they are currently attending

We offer on-campus tours at our Costa del Este and Albrook campuses, giving you the chance to see all that we provide. If you’re unable to visit in person, we also offer virtual information sessions. Both options offer a fantastic opportunity to connect with our community and learn about our distinctive educational approach.
After the tour, families interested in applying will receive a link to the application form. The form will require general information, school records, teacher recommendations, and necessary documents. Or, you may Inquire Here
For students in Panama, we invite them to a taster day, where they will experience a regular school day at The Casco School. For international applicants, we will arrange a virtual family meeting to get to know your child better and help ensure a smooth transition.
One week after the taster day, families will receive The Casco School’s official welcome letter. To complete enrolment, parents must settle the fees, sign the school contract, and submit the required documents.
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
Required Documents
As per the regulations set by Panama’s Ministry of Education (MEDUCA), all students enrolling from Year 2 to Secondary are required to validate their school records from abroad. This is a mandatory process to ensure proper placement.
Note: The validation process is not required for students starting Preschool, Year 1, or Year 2.
How to Validate School Records from Abroad (MEDUCA Validation Letter)
- Original School Records or Transcripts from Year 1 to the last grade completed.
- Legalise the school record or transcript of the last grade completed by obtaining an apostille (Hague Convention) or a certification of authenticity.
- Copy of valid passport and birth certificate.
- Translation of Academic Documents: All academic documents in a foreign language must be translated into Spanish by a public translator authorised in Panama.
- Book and attend an appointment at the Ministry of education to have the documents accredited.

The Casco School offers education from Preschool (Pre-Nursery) for children as young as 2 years old, through to Year 13.
We follow the British curriculum, which is designed to challenge students while supporting their development, preparing them for both local and global success. In Preschool, we use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); in Primary, we follow the National Curriculum of England; and in Secondary, we offer the Cambridge secondary curriculum.
Yes! The Casco School offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, music, and clubs. These activities complement our students’ academic learning and encourage their personal passions and talents.
We maintain a 1:11 ratio per class to ensure personalised attention for each student.
The Casco School does not have a school uniform. However, students are expected to follow a dress code, and more information about this will be provided upon enrollment. Additionally, school t-shirts are available for trips, sports, and events and may be worn on school days at the student’s discretion.
In the UK, the education system uses different terminology for grade levels. For example, Year 1 in the UK is equivalent to Kindergarten in the US, Year 6 is equivalent to Grade 5, and Year 13 is equivalent to 12th Grade.

*A family is considered “Sponsored” when a company or institution pays for part or all of the student’s fees. If you request any type of documents from the school for an employer the student will be considered sponsored.
**Sponsored families can pay annually or by term (Term 1, Term 2, and Term 3)
Discounts for advance payments.
5% discount for full year payments before July 31th of every year. Sponsored families due to apply for this discount.
Family Discounts.
Families with 3 or more children receive a 5% discount applied only to the youngest child’s enrollment fee invoice.
