Mr. Humberto Brown

Sports Coach

Mr. Humberto Brown is a Jiu-Jitsu champion of Panama. He trained as a Jiu-Jitsu black belt and competed internationally representing Panama at the UFLA. Humberto is also a personal trainer and fitness coach and previously managed Alley Cat fitness. HE coaches the children in multidisciplinary sports including Jiu-Jitsu, football, basketball, team games and athletics.

Chef Russo

School Chef

Chef Russo trained in Argentina with a speciality in Italian cuisine. At the casco school, we know the importance of diet in children's development and have a healthy, nutritious and delicious lunch program. Our food is prepared fresh each day.

Ms. Sahara González

Music Teacher

Ms. Sahara González works with the Danilo Perez foundation and is a professional musician and Singer. She has appeared many times in the Panama Jazz Festival. Sarah teaches a wide range of instruments, how to read music, sing and brings her creativity to ensure all children develop a passion for music and Arts.

Mr. Gustavo Polanco

Arts Teacher

Mr. Gustavo Polanco works for the Olga Sinclair foundation. He studied a fine arts degree and has since taken art courses in Italy, France and Spain. He teachers the children about different artists, mediums and styles developing their technical skills while giving them creative freedom.

Ms. Naomi Judge

Yoga Teacher

Ms. Naomi Judge originally trained in Australia as a children's nurse. She has since developed her yoga practice and now leads our children through a holistic yoga practice teacher Friday. It gives our students important time to reflect, set goals and develop strength and balance.

Mr. Nicolas Ponsford

Teaching Assistant

Mr. Nicolas Ponsford Mr Nicolas is trilingual in French, English and Spanish. Having gained his French Bachelorette. Mr Ponsford loves history and supports across the primary school helping students with their reading, writing and maths.

​Ms. Clare Jenkinson. With over 11 years teaching and leading primary school in London, Ghana, Chicago and Panama, Miss Clare created the Casco School. She currently teaches the second and their grade group and loves being in the classroom. She engages students in developing highly differentiated lessons which cater to the student’s individual needs. A love of books, mathematics and science she develops a cross-curricular approach bringing learning to life in a fun way.

My name is Elena Guillen I have a Bachlors of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Spanish from San Francisco State University in California as well as a Bilingual Teaching Credential also from SFSU.  I have 12 years teaching experience both in the US and here in Panama.  I love working with young learners and watching them develop tremendously over the course of a year.  I strive to create a classroom that is inclusive, engaging and filled with happy students.

​Ms. Airam Perdomo Graduated as an English and French Literature Researcher at the Central University of Venezuela, Ms Perdomo has very extensive experience in language teaching, having worked in corporate, high school and especially primary levels. Proactive and always keen on learning new things and developing new abilities. She has significant leadership and persuasion skills. Using technology as every day means to work and communicate is one of her mottos. She considers teaching little people her passion and true calling.

I enjoy inspiring kids to learn new things, improve wellness, move their bodies, know their capabilities, feel happy, strong, loved and motivated.

She has superior interpersonal and communication skills to foster meaningful relationships with students and parents. Gabriela loves yoga, books and nature. As Malala Yousafzai said, “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”

​Ms. Irene Como I am very excited to be working with the Pre-Nursery class this year and teaching the youngest students in our school! I personalize learning for every child in my class The learning experiences I plan and prepare allow children to develop the skills they need to succeed. In my teaching, I create an environment where children are engaged, challenged, and most of all, excited. I want the children to feel confident to take risks and have a go at everything, knowing they are fully supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

​Mr. Nicholas Ponsford is a learning support mentor throughout our primary school. A native speaker in French, English and Spanish he helps many of our children learning new languages. He supports children in their reading and writing giving personal attention to their need. A keen sportsman he often organised competitions and games for the playground.
